Make a PayNow QR that scans in every Singapore banking app (DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB, and the rest). The format is public, so this tool just encodes it — payment still settles through the normal PayNow rails when someone scans. Everything runs in your browser; your number never leaves this page.
For individuals — the mobile number registered to your PayNow in your banking app.
Singapore's PayNow QR format is fully public and standardized. It sits on two specifications:
| Layer | Specification | Publisher |
|---|---|---|
| Base | EMVCo QR Code Specification for Payment Systems (Merchant-Presented Mode) | EMVCo |
| Singapore | SGQR Specifications v1.7 | SGQR Taskforce (ABS / MAS / IMDA) |
The QR encodes a short string of tagged fields, ending with a CRC-16 checksum that banking apps verify.
The PayNow block (tag 26, GUID SG.PAYNOW) carries your mobile number or UEN, an optional amount,
reference and expiry. Because the format is open, anyone can generate a valid QR — no bank involvement is
needed to create one. Payment still settles through the normal PayNow rails when scanned. The worked example
in Annex A.7.2 of the SGQR specification includes a PayNow block; this tool reproduces that format exactly,
checksum included.
Enter the mobile number registered to your PayNow (or a UEN for a business), optionally add an amount, reference, or expiry, and the QR generates instantly. Download it as PNG or SVG, then print or share it.
No. If you don't have a UEN — individuals, freelancers, and sole proprietors — your PayNow-registered mobile number is all you need. UEN is only for businesses that have one.
Yes — free, no signup, no account, no watermark. Everything runs in your browser.
It's an unofficial free tool, not affiliated with ABS, MAS, or any bank. It encodes the published SGQR v1.7 and EMVCo standards, so the QR scans in banking apps. Test any generated QR with your own banking app before relying on it.
Yes. Generate one with your mobile number, leave the amount blank so customers pay what they want, download the PNG, and print it. Laminate it and it lasts.
Yes — enter an amount in SGD to pre-fill it in the payer's app, and choose whether they can edit it. Leave the amount blank for an open-amount QR.
Download the PNG (best for print) or SVG, then print it at any size — the QR stays scannable as long as it isn't stretched or distorted. An A5 or A6 sticker works well on a counter.
Only if you set an expiry date. Without one, the QR works indefinitely.
The QR only encodes your mobile number or UEN — it can't be used to take money out. The real risk is someone replacing your QR with theirs, so check the name shown in the payer's app before confirming.
A PayNow QR accepts PayNow payments only. An SGQR label combines PayNow with other schemes like NETS and GrabPay for merchants. This tool generates PayNow QRs.
